Point
Built in 1997, it remains one of our favorites.
The property is bordered by State Park property on the South, and
a view of Mendocino Village to the North. All one level of approximate
5000 sq ft., the exterior is a combination of stucco and Rammed
Earth. The Rammed Earth walls extend thru the house from east to
west adding to the drama of the Living room with its tall, cedar
paneled ceiling, Terrazzo style cast fireplace, and its wide ocean
views.
The interior floors are colored exposed concrete
slabs with hydronic heat. Andersen doors and windows fill the exterior
openings. The interior is trimmed with custom, Western Red Cedar
doors and trim.
A round tiled shower in the master is flooded
by a matching round skylight above. Copper roofing covers the main
center part of the structure. Foundation was drilled piers and
grade beams, covered with a six inch structural slab.
The kitchen is furnished with custom maple cabinets
which are topped by concrete counters. The kitchen includes an
indoor gas grill.
Interior walls are finished in colored plaster
to blend with the Rammed Earth. A wine cellar adds to the amenities.
